Nana insists this 4 ingredient wonder is the reason grandpa married her. I whipped it up in 5 minutes yesterday and completely understand why.. Full recipe 👇 💬

There are some desserts that earn a permanent place in the family recipe box because they are fussy and grand, and then there are the little miracles like this creamy lemonade pie that win hearts by being simple, quick, and downright irresistible. This is the kind of chilled pie Midwestern cooks have leaned on for potlucks, Sunday dinners, and warm-weather gatherings for generations, made from pantry and freezer staples and stirred together in just a few minutes. With its bright lemony tang, silky filling, and buttery graham cracker crust, it tastes like sunshine after supper.

Serve this pie well chilled with a dollop of whipped cream if you like, and a few thin lemon slices or fresh berries for a pretty finish. It is especially nice after grilled chicken, barbecue, ham, or a simple summer supper of sandwiches and salad. For coffee hour, it pairs beautifully with hot coffee or iced tea, and because it is so cool and creamy, it is a lovely dessert for hot afternoons when nobody wants to turn on the oven.

4-Ingredient Creamy Lemonade Pie

Servings: 8

Nana insists this 4 ingredient wonder is the reason grandpa married her. I whipped it up in 5 minutes yesterday and completely understand why.

4. Refrigerate the pie for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to slice cleanly. For a firmer texture, chill it overnight.

Variations & Tips

Extra Lemony: If your family likes a brighter citrus flavor, add 1 teaspoon of finely grated lemon zest to the filling. It gives the pie a fresher taste without changing the easy nature of the recipe.

Frozen Pie: For a summertime treat that eats almost like an icebox dessert, freeze the pie for 2 to 3 hours before serving. Let it sit a few minutes at room temperature so it slices neatly.

Homemade Crust Tip: If you do not have a store-bought crust on hand, make a simple one with about 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and 6 tablespoons melted butter. Press it into a pie plate and chill before filling, or bake it briefly if you prefer a crisper shell.

Make-Ahead Tip: This pie is a wonderful do-ahead dessert for church suppers, reunions, and holiday weekends. Make it the night before and keep it covered in the refrigerator so the filling has plenty of time to set up nice and smooth.
